Spectral Flame Patron
Harness the Demonic Flame to Allure your Enemies
Warlocks of the spectral flame are a mixed bag. Known for their sultry tones and dreamy eyes, they hide within visages of horror and flame. By embracing this pact, you have become one of both worlds. An icon of status, and a symbol of hate. Warlocks of this patron often entreat the pact of the tome or chain, either to increase their versatility or to entreat demonic fauna such as birds with hats, respectively.
How did you meet the Spectral Flame, did you bargain for power? Who did you sell out for it? All you know now is those feelings won’t be leaving any time soon.
Level 3: Dreamy Voice
You gain proficiency and Expertise in the Performance skill.
Additionally, when you cast a Warlock spell from the Enchantment school that has a Verbal component, you may enact an unholy performance. Your spellcasting DC is increased by +1 for the purpose of the spell, and creatures that can hear you cannot benefit from Advantage in order to resist it’s effects.
Level 3: Spectral Flame Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Spectral Flame Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
Spectral Flame Spells
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Charm Person, Dissonant Whispers, Enthral, Misty Step, Scorching Ray |
| 5 | Bestow Curse, Fly |
| 7 | Compulsion, Wall of Fire |
| 9 | Dominate Person, Flame Strike |
Level 3: Underneath your Skin
Your patron’s influence has altered your true nature. As a free action you can reveal demonic patterns and deformities to your hands, making them clawed if they were not already. You can revert to your regular appearance at any time. Creatures with Truesight can see both sides of you.
When you make an Unarmed Strike using these claws, you can use your Charisma modifier for the attack roll and to determine damage. Creatures damaged by these claws have Disadvantage on the next saving throw they make to resist a spell you cast with a Pact Magic spell slot before the end of your next turn.
Level 6: Set the World on Fire
You can cast Misty Step without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
When you cast Misty Step this way, you are weather in flames as you teleport. Creatures within 5 feet of the space you left or the space you appear in to (your choice) must succeed a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 Fire damage.
Level 10: Sudden Pop
When you damage a creature with your Unarmed Strikes you can deal Fire damage equal to 1d8 + your Charisma bonus.
In addition, whenever you cast a Warlock spell with a casting time of an Action, you can immediately make one Unarmed strike attack as a Bonus action.
Level 14: Unholy Idol
You gain the following features:
Irresistible: You always have the Mass Suggestion and Otto’s Irresistible Dance spells prepared.
Spectral Flames. Damage you deal with attacks, Warlock spells or Warlock features ignores Resistance to Fire damage. Additionally, when you deal Fire damage you can choose for it to not provoke saving throws caused by taking damage.
Keeping you Obsessed. When a creature fails a saving throw against an Enchantment spell you cast, it takes 2d10 Fire damage.
